At the end of March, a cultural and significant event took place - the grand opening of the monument to the great Soviet poet Rasul Gamzatov in the Cairo park of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The magnificent sculpture was made by a professor of the Department of Architecture of BSTU named after VG Shukhov, Professor of Fine Arts of the Cairo University.

At the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, during the spring school holidays, there was a scientific camp for gifted children “NaukoGrad“ NIKA ”. During the week, schoolchildren studied applied psychology, improved their knowledge in chemistry and physics, and also got their hands on in architecture and design.

Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov hosted a round table "Formation of anti-extremist and anti-terrorist environment in the university at the present stage." The meeting was held in face-to-face format with the use of remote technologies and brought together more than 35 speakers.

The flagship university is implementing 4 projects of a world-class scientific and educational center "Innovative solutions in the agro-industrial complex". One of them is a project to create a high-tech large-scale production of animal protein from the larvae of the black lion fly (hermetia illucens). The project is carried out by scientists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhova together with LLC "Agroacademia" and the Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

Scientists of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov are working on many areas of scientific activity. One of them is the development and creation of intelligent control systems.

An international scientific conference "BuildInTech BIT 2021. Innovations and technologies in construction" was held at the flagship university with the participation of scientists from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Russian Academy of Architectural and Construction Sciences, Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, Far Eastern Federal University and other universities in Russia.

Scientists of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhova are actively involved in scientific activities, work on the creation of innovative technical projects, win prestigious awards and are editors of many scientific publications

The submission of applications for obtaining a quota for education in Russia at the expense of allocations from the federal budget for foreign citizens has ended. The ongoing annual project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo allows foreigners to continue their studies immediately after receiving their previous education (school, college, college, university) to study for free, receive a scholarship, and also live in a student hostel.

At the Belgorod State Technological University, special attention is paid to the development of international activities. For many years the university has been developing international relations in the field of education, increasing the competitiveness of Russian education.
