BSTU named after V.G.Shukhov hosted an international interuniversity scientific-practical conference "Topical issues of combating corruption", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. The conference was attended by nine countries, including Russia, some of the participants spoke online.

A congress of young scientists started in Sochi on December 8, which will last 3 days. It will become one of the most notable events of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, the finale of a large campaign in support of Russian science and education.

Once again, the scientific works of the staff of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov were published in the journal "Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering". The journal is published in Switzerland and indexed in the International SCOPUS database.

The Eighth Russian-Chinese Forum of Engineering Technologies was held online on November 24. The forum was held within the framework of the agreement signed in June 2019 by the heads of state of China and Russia on Russian-Chinese scientific, technical and innovative cooperation in 2020-2021.

Belgorod State University hosted a meeting of the governing board of the World-class Scientific and Educational Center "Innovative Solutions in the Agro-Industrial Complex" under the leadership of the Senator of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the REC Board Evgeny Savchenko.

A unique historical event took place in the Syrian city of Latakia, which is of great importance not only for the spread of the Russian language and the national culture of Russia, but also for the possibility of fruitful interaction and operational mutual assistance between the two countries. On the basis of the Al-Munir school, a solemn ceremony of laying a memorial stone was held, on the site of which the construction of the Center for Russian Language and Culture has already begun. The Educational Center will be named after the outstanding scientist and inventor, the great architect Vladimir Shukhov.

A new professional holiday - Higher School Teacher's Day - is celebrated for the first time and is timed to coincide with the birthday of the great Russian scientist Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov. The holiday was established in the Year of Science and Technology by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on behalf of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

In the Year of Science and Technology, for the first time, we celebrate the professional holiday of all teachers of higher educational institutions in Russia.
