Anti-corruption issues were resolved at an international conference
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov hosted an international interuniversity scientific-practical conference "Topical issues of combating corruption", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. The conference was attended by nine countries, including Russia, some of the participants spoke online. First Vice-Rector of the University Evgeny Yevtushenko, Vice-Rector for Security Vladimir Borisovsky and Prosecutor of the Belgorod Region Vladimir Torgovchenkov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. “Corruption is such a social evil that eats away at society from within, undermines trust in the state and hinders its development. Therefore, of course, today's conference is of great importance not only for students, but also for society as a whole, ”noted Vladimir Ivanovich Torgovchenkov.
At the end of the event, the participants heard reports from students: Daria Pavlova (St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering), Anastasia Dyak (BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov), Anastasia Osipova (St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation) and Diana Burlutskaya (Research Institute "BelSU").
All of them took part in the competition of posters and scientific works "I am against corruption" and became prize-winners of this competition, but the organizers will additionally announce the distribution of places among the winners. Also, within the framework of the international conference, an exhibition of posters "I am against corruption" was opened on the second floor of the university classroom building. Within a month, the organizing committee received works from students of educational institutions of the region. For the competition, the children presented thematic anti-corruption posters, the best of which will be included in the printed collection. And the winners who have won prizes will receive monetary rewards. By the way, today, December 9, is the International anti-corruption day, which is celebrated annually at the initiative of the United Nations.
