The program of the visit of representatives of the Serbian University was included a "round table" discussion, which was attended by the guests and faculty members of the Institute of Economics and management of BSTU (IEM). The major topics were cooperation program in energy, transportation, sociology, cultural exchange, however the economic area was in the limelight

On October 31, the delegation of the University of Pristina (Serbia) visited Belgorod State Technological University Shukhov. The delegation included the University Rector, Prof. Dr. Zdravko Vitoshevich, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor, Professor Srecko Milachech, Dean of Pedagogic Faculty, Prof. Dr. Radivoje Kulich, General Secretary of Alumni Association of Russian and Soviet universities in Serbia and Montenegro, Petar Paykovich.

On the first day of November an agreement on cooperation between BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and the University of Pristina (Serbia) was signed in the hall of BSTU Academic Council. Both sides discussed various areas for developing comprehensive cooperation between Russia and Serbia in general and our universities in particular. The outcome of the visit was the signing of an important document - the cooperation agreement between the University of Pristina and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

On October 27 Turkmenistan celebrates the Independence Day. BSTU students joined their friends to attend the event at Belgorod State Institute of Culture and Art. After the concert BSTU students followed to the monument to soldiers from Turkmenistan whi died during the Kursk battle to commemorate their heroism and pay them a tribute.

On October 24 the university held an exhibition dedicated to Zambian national culture, prepared by the students from Zambia. It was on this very day, when, 40 years ago, the former British colony, Zambia, gained its independence. Since then, the free republic has been celebrating its Independence Day as a national holiday

On 18 October, the university started the Arabic Language Courses for the faculty staff. The lessons are conducted by Dr. Yasser Allaham, Advisor to the University Chansellor on International Affairs, and Mr. Omar Almohammed, who is taking master degree courses at BSTU.

On October 11, 2011 in Moscow professor Ali Said Al-Bemani, the Chancellor of Sultan Quaboos University, located in Mascat, the Capital of the Sultanate of Oman met the heads of the most prestigious educational institutions in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Representatives of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov – Professor Yaser Allaham, rector’s advisor on international affairs and professor R.V. Lesovik, vice-rector on International activity.

On October 11 the concert hall of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov hosted the opening ceremony and the plenary session of the International Scientific Conference "Innovative Materials and Technologies" (XX Shukhov scientific readings) and the IVth International Congress of Cement Producers.

From 17 to 22 September an International literary plein air took place in the picturesque suburb Sichevo near the town of Nis (Serbia). It was attended by T.L. Konoreva, director of museum and exhibition center of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. Tamara Konoreva gave a presentation of our university and the museum and exhibition center, commented on the book "Victory and memorable days of Russia," authored by the professors and lecturers of our university.

Federal Republic of Nigeria celebrates an Independence Day on the 1st of October. More and more students from this African country choose Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov to proceed with their higher education program. This year the number of students from Nigeria increased to 21
