Turkmenistan Independence Day
On October 27 Turkmenistan celebrates the Independence Day. For 20 years of independence Turkmenistan demonstrated great progress in economic and social areas. Belgorod State Institute of Culture and Art hosted the ceremony for the citizens of Turkmenistan studying in Belgorod. BSTU students joined their friends to attend the event.
Turkmenistan and Belgorod oblast have been tied by their past and present. A monument to soldiers from Turkmenistan, who had died during the Kursk Battle during World War II has been recently built in our region. Now young people from Turkmenistan come to Belgorod to study, the region is actively cooperating with Turkmenistan in the economic and cultural spheres.
The event arranged at Belgorod State Institute of Culture and Art was a token of friendship and respect to Turkmenistan and its citizens. The concert included singing and dance performed by both students from Turkmenistan and students from Belgorod. The guests were singing about their love the their home country, and the hosts about Russia, but all of them were joined by friendship and mutual respect.
According to the Chairman of Russian-Turkmen Business Council, Vladimir Stepanovich Lapin, the hall got together friends to share the holiday in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
After the concert BSTU students followed to the monument to soldiers from Turkmenistan to commemorate their heroism and pay them a tribute. They laid flowers to the monument.
