The all city round of students' festival "Student Spring" has been successfully completed for Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. The six winners of top awards in different nominations were taken by our students.

From 3 to April 10 2013the Head of the Department of Real Estate Assessment and management, prof. Irina Avilova participated in the State Certification Commission for the defence of graduation theses in the "Expertise and management of real estate" in Hanoi Civil Engineering University (Hanoi, Vietnam). The program of stay in Hanoi also included negotiating with Hanoi University management on the prospects and areas of inter-institutional academic cooperation related to double degree programs in a number of undergraduate and graduate programs.

On April 17, 2013 Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law (BUCEL )held a traditional Day of the Faculty of Economics. Traditionally among the guests were the students – foreign citizens studying at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. With great interest the students were listening to the reports about the history, culture, education and the state of the economy of the Russian Federation. Then, each participant gave a presentation and a report on his home country, its present and the future.

The work carried out by the staff of Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Students is not limited by just academic issued, the activity also relates to students upbringing. Last week young students competed for the best kept accommodation in the halls of residence.

On April 4–6 the delegation of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov took part in a specialized education exhibition in Ukraine «Education of Slobozhanshina and cyberspace-2013».

In February BSTUhold a joint road safety workshop with the representatives from the state Traffic Safety Inspectorate. The youth road safety squad of BSTU put forward such an unusual initiative. The young people have decided to attract foreign students to their activity.

On February 26, 2013 Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov was visited by a foreign delegation, which included representatives from China, Cameroon, India, Nepal and Pakistan.

In January, the Department of descriptive geometry held the Olympics in descriptive geometry. Among the 1st- year students a citizen of Yemen, Qassim Mohammed was ranked the first.

On January 16 delegation of Hulunbeier Institute (China) arrived to Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov on a business and official visit. . Last summer, representatives of the Institute signed a memorandum of cooperation with BSTU on "4 +1" program, under which the Chinese students, after studying Russian in Hulunbeier Institute, will study for four years at BSTU

The last session of the Council of Foreign National Affinity Groups, summarized the results of students’ performance and social activity during the first semester of this academic year. According to the President of the Council, Abassi Ammar Syed, the foreign students have worked hard for the benefit of the university
