Chinese delegation оn a business visit
On January 16 delegation of Hulunbeier Institute (China) headed by the rector, Professor Zhu Yudong, including vice-rector Kuo Veychzhun, Head of International Department, Professor Li Xiuling and Deputy Head of the International Department, Associate Professor Wang Xuan arrived to Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov on a business and official visit .
Hulunbeier Institute is actively cooperating with Transbaikal State Humanitarian Pedagogical, Buryat State and the Siberian Federal Universities. Last summer, representatives of the Institute signed a memorandum of cooperation with BSTU on "4 +1" program, under which the Chinese students, after studying Russian in Hulunbeier Institute, will study for four years at BSTU in their chosen area.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen future partnerships and cultural ties between the two universities. By tradition, the visitors laid flowers to the monument to the great Russian engineer V.G. Shukhov, then met with the university management.
During the meeting with the delegation the first Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Shapovalov noted the importance of international exchanges which contribute to development of both Parties, it is especially true for relations with China, with which we have always had good, solid relationship. "Such exchanges of students, academic staff, will bring our mutually beneficial cooperation in a new stage and joint research projects should lead to the strengthening and development of our relations", - said Nikolai Afanasevich.
According to the rector of the Institute Hulunbuirskogo Zhu Yudong, now China represents the world education market, and Russia has accumulated rich experience in professional education, so, for the last few years, Chinese students pay more attention in this regard to Russia. "BSTU is one of the leading universities in the country in several areas of training. We are delighted to strengthen cooperation and mutual exchange of experience "- said Zhu Yudong.
After the signing of a cooperation agreement, the guests followed on a tour of the university.
