On July 24 2014 our university received German representatives, who are interested in cooperating with Belgorod State Technological university named after V.G. Shukhov. The delegation included professor Jürgen Kretschmann, the president of Technische Fachhochschule Georg Agricola in Bochum and Mr. Karl Kleinberg, a specialist in surveying.

Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens of the University prepared interesting and extensive program for the participants of the summer language school "Education + vacation". Students will not only learn the Russian language but also will be taken taken to places of interest in the Belgorod region. The most memorable experience for guests was a trip to place sacred for each person of Belgorod and the Russians - to the State Reserve "Prokhorovka"

Staff of preparatory faculty of foreign students made a surprise for the participants of summer language school "Education + vacation" by organizing a trip to a local art museum. There was a unique exhibition of paintings by Ivan K. Aivazovsky.

A group of 15 students of the Institute of Economics and Management went to Olsztyn Higher School of Informatics and Economics in Poland to undergo training and get a second European degree.

On May 19 2014 Belgorod State Technological University hosted an international scientific and technical conference of young scientists «Urgent issues of architecture and architectural structures in building».

On May 15, the Institute of Economics and management held an international scientific and technical conference “Urgent problems of economic development”. The forum was attended by the students from Belgorod, Kursk and Ukraine. 20 people made reports, related to various areas of economic science and aspects of its reforming.

On May 8 students from Turkmenistan studying at universities in Belgorod, commemorated their countrymen killed in the Battle of Kursk. Almost two and a half thousand heroes from former Soviet republics were killed in this major battle of World War II, which became a radical change in the war. Here the soldiers were fighting to death under the banner of the 97th Turkmen Cavalry Division.

A German company ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions - a longtime partner of Cement Technology Department at BSTU organized students industrial placement in Germany.

From April 10 to May 5 2014 BSTU held the IVth Soccer Tournament Friendship Cup among foreign students. On April 24 a workshop on massive open online courses (MOOC) was held at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. The event was organized by Alex Gavrunov, a BSTU graduate, Fellow of International Education Fulbright program in Western Michigan University (2013), a member of non-profit project organization"Global Student".
