Rector Sergei Glagolev took part in a meeting of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors
At Moscow State University MV Lomonosov, a solemn joint meeting of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors and the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Union of Rectors", was held. It should be noted that the Russian Union of Rectors unites more than 700 rectors (heads), presidents of educational organizations of higher education of the Russian Federation. At its congresses, strategically important decisions are made that affect the scientific and educational policy of the country and the world. The meeting was attended by the rector of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, President of the Russian Union of Rectors Viktor Sadovnichy; President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov; Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko; Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov; Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov; Head of the Talent and Success Foundation, Chairman of the Sirius Federal Territory Council Elena Shmeleva. Also at the meeting was the rector of BSTU. V. G. Shukhov Sergei Glagolev.
In his welcome address, Sergei Nikolaevich congratulated Viktor Sadovnichy on the 30th anniversary of the Russian Union of Rectors. “It would be wrong to talk about any success in the development of domestic higher and additional education in isolation from the Russian Union of Rectors. From the very beginning, it was a think tank where ideas were born and brought to concrete proposals to the country's leadership regarding the development and improvement of scientific and educational policy, the strengthening of all parts of higher education, without which the country's technological sovereignty is inconceivable.
On my own behalf and on behalf of the Council of Rectors of Belgorod Region Universities, I wish the Union of Rectors of Russia prosperity, the achievement of its goals, and the fulfillment of the most daring plans. The strengthening and development of higher education is the basis for the development of all areas of science, without which progress in the field of high technologies and modern production is unthinkable. We are convinced that the Council of Rectors of Russia has always been and will remain at the forefront of those social forces of Russian society that devote all their activities to strengthening the power of Russia,” said Sergey Glagolev.
