Serbian evening

At BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov held an evening of reminiscences about the events of a hundred years ago, which rallied the Russian and Serbian peoples. Russia became the main ally of Serbia in World War I. Victoria Ryapukhina, Director of the Institute of the Serbian Language and Communications, BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov, spoke about the events of those years, about the assistance provided by the fraternal people, about the tradition of wearing the Ramon flower on Armistice Day as a symbol of victory and rebirth, and that November 11 is a day off for the citizens of Serbia. Students from Serbia sang songs in their native language and read poems.

All those present tasted real Serbian coffee, and in the second part of the program they became spectators of the film "Kral Petar Prvi", which impressed with the acting, the plot, the director's idea and its virtuoso implementation. “The film for viewing was not chosen by chance. Not only does he tell about the military events of that terrible time for the Serbian people, the plot makes you think about seemingly simple things. But it is they - human life, happiness, loyalty to the Fatherland, true friendship, maternal love - that allow us to be kinder, more attentive and not indifferent to the people around us, ”said Victoria Ryapukhina.
