Foreign students of BSTU named after Shukhov get to know Russia
Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, together with the Gubkin Spiritual and Educational Center "Transfiguration", organizes tourist trips around the region and the country for foreign students. At the end of July, 20 students visited the fortress city of Yablonov, where they participated in master classes, competitions, and helped to cook traditional Russian porridge. Foreigners plunged into the Russian culture and traditions of Russia, got acquainted with the features of the military fortification of the 17th century, learned about the history of the Belgorod defensive line.
Ruslan Lesovik, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov: “We conduct such excursions as part of a program to reduce interethnic and interfaith tensions. Now, for example, a team of 40 foreign students is on excursions in Tula and Moscow. I would like to note that the guys travel with great interest and share their impressions on their pages in social networks. I am sure that such events help to “join” the student environment and contribute to increasing the social confidence of foreign students.”
