Cooperation with Palestine
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was visited by a delegation from Al-Istiklal University from Palestine. The Palestinian university was represented by the dean of scientific centers of the university,
Dr. Muhammad Khalas, and the director of the Center for Russian Language and Culture. S. Yesenina Mohammed Najazhr.
During the visit, the guests met with Rector Sergei Glagolev, visited the laboratories, got acquainted with the infrastructure of the campus, sports facilities, learned about the history of the region's flagship university in the exhibition complex. An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement. Al-Istiqlal University was formed in Jericho in 1998 as the Palestinian Academy of Security Sciences, and in 2011 it was transformed into a university. It teaches 21 academic disciplines and trains specialists in higher education in the field of security, military and police sciences. More than 4 thousand graduates received diplomas from the educational institution, a significant part of them work in the government, law enforcement and law enforcement agencies of Palestine.
