Meeting of the Minister of Science and Higher Education with rectors of Russian universities
Rector of the University Sergey Glagolev took part in the meeting of the head of department Valery Falkov with the rectors of Russian universities.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia is discussing the work of universities in the new conditions: the organization of the educational process in the post-pandemic period, assistance to Russian students studying abroad, and the international activities of universities. “Universities need to focus on working with students and organizing full-time education.
Two years in a “torn” mode during the pandemic inevitably affected the quality of education. Today it is necessary to work individually with students, to conduct a cross-section of knowledge. This time should be used productively to close the gaps. Students should be actively involved in research activities,” said Valery Falkov. The Minister also drew attention to the importance of psychological assistance. It should be a permanent platform where both students and teachers can apply.
At the same time, special attention should be paid to foreign students: “First of all, help is needed for students from Ukraine. An informal attitude and attention to this issue is needed.” The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science emphasized that educational work should be organized at a high level in universities.
