The future of the university is purposeful youth
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov hosted the traditional meeting of the rector of the university with youth activists.
The initiators of its holding were students, undergraduates and graduate students of the university, who make an active contribution to the development of science.
Rector Sergey Glagolev congratulated the participants on the last Day of Russian Science: “I am sure that there are those among you who can continue the traditions of outstanding engineers, it is no coincidence that our university proudly bears the name of one of them. I congratulate all of you on the holiday! I want to wish you success, new achievements and discoveries! And most importantly - the strength to implement your grandiose plans and ideas! The meeting began with the presentation of the intra-university competition of innovative projects "Young Innovators Cup", which in its short history attracted a large number of participants and became a launching pad for unique projects. Today, about 6,500 students study at the university, of which 4,500 last year took part in research work - about 2,000 theses and articles were published, and 4 received grant support.
During the meeting, students and graduate students asked questions about the measures of social support for young scientists, the organization of coworking spaces, internships in the CVT laboratories, improvement of the research base of the university, and even about the work of university canteens and parking lots.
