Strengthening international relations
An important event took place in relations between Russia and Angola - an agreement between the Governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Angola on the mutual recognition of education, qualifications and academic degrees came into force. This means that the exchange of students and teachers will become easier, and Russian universities will be able to accept more Angolan students. The bilateral agreement covers both higher medical and pharmaceutical education. BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is in second place in terms of the number of Angolan students studying at Russian universities.
Most often, students choose areas related to technology and architecture, as well as musical and instrumental art. BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov has 51 students from Angola. The most popular are the directions of the magistracy, where today there are 24 people.
Among the popular institutions of the university were IETUS (6 people), CTI (5 people) and IEM (5 people). The Rector of the University Sergey Glagolev noted that the Angolans are distinguished by diligence and a special craving for knowledge, for our university the Agreement contributes to the expansion of the sphere of interests, practical results in science, training of new personnel and familiarization with world culture.
