The start of the international architectural plein-air at the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
At the campus of the flagship university of the Belgorod region, an international architectural plein air started for the sixth time, which was attended by 10 artists from Syria, Egypt, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The sculptural compositions created will join the works of past years and will decorate the territory of the university student campus. Rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Sergey Glagolev noted that every year the university receives more and more skilled craftsmen from all over the world. In the Year of Science and Technology, architects and sculptors will carve busts of the world's great scientists from stone, whose scientific achievements once "turned the world upside down." “Thanks to these sculptures, our territory is significantly transformed and receives international colors.
Each sculptural composition inspires unwitting viewers to create their own creative works, ”stressed Sergei Nikolaevich. Together with foreign guests, teachers and students of the Department of Architectural Environment, Architecture and Urban Planning took part in the plein air. Sculptors, teachers and art critics from different countries have already started creating masterpieces. BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is the only university in the Belgorod region that has implemented the idea of holding an international architectural plein air, the final of which will be the grand opening of the open-air museum.
