Young scientists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov presented their developments at UMNIK
The regional stage of the UMNIK competition for young scientists, aimed at supporting commercially oriented scientific and technical projects, was held in Belgorod. There are 19 projects from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov were defended at the final conference from 1 to 4 December.
The main prize of the competition is a grant of 500 thousand rubles, for which 89 participants competed.
Within the framework of the competition, scientific research works were defended in the following areas: digital technologies; medicine and health preservation technologies; new materials and chemical technologies; new devices and intelligent manufacturing technologies; biotechnology; resource-saving energy.
Representatives of the flagship university presented their work as part of the final conference on the selection of projects for young scientists "Innovative developments of young researchers of the Belgorod region" in the following areas: "New devices and production technologies": - Olga Rybkina - "Technology for the production of translucent concrete products with rigid light-guiding fibers of controlled arrangement and light transmission" - Denis Belyaev - "Development and research of a disintegrator with periodically changing distance between rows of impact elements" - Vadim Kochetov - "Development of a centrifugal dust collector with feedback and a recirculation channel to increase the cleaning efficiency and control the flow of cleaned air" - Alexander Tikhonov - "Development of tooling for a robot manipulator for 3D printing and restoration of architectural objects with binders", - Olga Shemetova - "Development of a pneumatic mixer for bulk materials with a spiral energy-carrying tube", - Ilya Kryukov - "Development of a compact energy efficient dust collection system for local exhaust ventilation for beauty parlors" - Daniil Podgorny - "Development of an installation for determining the radioprotective properties of building materials in the microwave range", - Lyubov Volovikova - "Development of an interactive system for monitoring the parameters of the production environment for managing labor safety", - Artyom Voloshkin - "Development of a robotic system for the rehabilitation of the lower extremities of patients", - Valentin Popov - "Multifunctional CNC complex". “Resource-saving energy”: Yulia Elistratova (“Development of a device for diagnosing the efficiency of plate heat exchangers in heat supply systems”) and Diana Vdovina (“Development of technologies for predicting the power consumption of a local object using neural networks”). “We all don't like it when hot water is turned off.
Our project is aimed at timely cleaning and digitalization, that is, giving a signal and turning on the appropriate devices for the timely removal of scale, so that we can have hot water with you, ”said Yulia Elistratova.
"Digital technologies": Roman Vaschenko (Ph.D., senior lecturer) - "Development of an automated information system for optimizing and planning the loading of conveyor lines in food production." "Medicine and technologies of health preservation": Anastasia Romanenko, postgraduate student (supervisor: Professor of the Department of Glass and Ceramics Technology V. Chuev) - "Development of a bioactive glass filler and a modified dental composition based on it."
"The participants of the university defended projects at a high level, they have very serious innovative projects, which in the future, according to the expert commission, can take part in the Start program - this will be the next step for our young scientists," said Oksana Bazhenova, head department of organization of scientific research of students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
