Export of education on the base of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
The Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference "Export of Education as the Basis for Economic Development of the Region: Russian and International Experience" was organized by the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov.
The conference was held in person with the use of remote technologies and brought together more than 150 participants. In interesting discussions, there was a discussion of the requirements for managers, employees of international services of universities to ensure the attraction, training and comfortable stay of foreign students in Russian universities in the context of a doubling of their number.

“This conference will allow us to hold a meeting of experts in the field of international cooperation, interested in the constant increase in the attractiveness and competitiveness of Russian education. After all, we all strive to annually increase the recognition and brand of Russian education in the international educational market, ”noted Sergei Nikolaevich, rector of the region's flagship university.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Petr A.Kucherenko, greeted the participants. In his speech, he stressed that the Russian system of higher education has an ambitious goal - to increase the number of foreign students in Russian universities to 425,000 by 2024.
The participants of the interregional scientific and practical conference "Export of education as the basis for the economic development of the region: Russian and international experience" were heads of universities and branches of universities, heads and employees of international services of universities, heads and employees of university departments that provide admission, stay and training of foreign students in including remotely, representatives of regional / federal authorities, employers.
Within the framework of the conference, it was envisaged to hold round tables - discussion platforms, at which the participants not only made presentations, but also held active discussions of the problems raised. At the discussion platform "Exchange of experience: best practices" the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Lesovik Ruslan Valerievich.
He said that currently 112 international agreements are in force at the university and for more than 5 years a program of inclusive education has been implemented with the Hulunbuir Institute (China).
“The university pays special attention to training programs in English in accordance with the growing needs of the educational services market. BSTU them. V.G. Shukhova was the first among technical universities of the Russian Federation to open programs for teaching foreign students in English in engineering specialties, ”Ruslan Valerievich emphasized in his report.
There were also two sites dedicated to the main topic of 2020 - working conditions in COVID-19: “The use of remote technologies in the context of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19” and “Recommendations for the start of the school year in the context of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19”.
