Flagship university at the VIII Regional Science Festival
The VIII Regional Science Festival was held in the Belgorod Region, which is part of one large general All-Russian festival Nauka 0+. At this year's festival, science and art are organically intertwined, which forms new forms of knowledge.
For everyone who appreciates intelligence, knowledge, scientific and technical thought, a whole world of youth forums, master classes and competitions has opened. More than 5,000 scientific events are held annually in 75 regions of Russia, bringing together more than 2 million people.
First Deputy Governor of the Belgorod Region Denis Petrovich Butsaev addressed all the participants and spectators of the regional science festival with words of welcome.
“The potential of our research institutes, educational institutions is the main source of the growth of our economy and the welfare of the country as a whole. It is gratifying that the festival is being held on the territory of the region for the eighth time and attracts a large number of participants who are not indifferent to scientific activity, ”Denis Butsaev emphasized in his speech.
Within the framework of the VIII Regional Science Festival, more than 200 events will be held, where everyone can touch science. At the opening ceremony of the festival, the most active researchers, winners of All-Russian and regional competitions, young scientists and graduate students were awarded.
The winners of the competition for a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for young scientists and graduate students for 2020/2021. became many scientists of the flagship university of the region.
For research in the direction "Energy efficiency and energy saving, including the development of new types of fuel" were awarded:

Suslov Denis Yurievich, Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
For research in the direction "Strategic information technologies, including the creation of supercomputers and software development" was awarded:
Shevtsova Anastasia Gennadievna, associate professor, candidate of technical sciences, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
Also, the winners of the regional competition for proposals for grants for carrying out research works in priority areas of development of science, technology and critical technologies for students and postgraduates were awarded. The competition was attended by 17 projects, of which only 6 were recognized as winners. From the Belgorod Technological University V.G. Shukhov awards received:

After the opening ceremony of the VIII Regional Science Festival, one could visit the exhibition "Touch Science". It presented scientific developments of young scientists of educational institutions of the region, including BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
