Representative of the flagship university is in the list of Golden Names of Higher School 2020
Senior Researcher of the UNIR Research Laboratory of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry, Ph.D., Associate Professor Natalya Igorevna Cherkashina became the winner in the nomination "Young Scientific and Pedagogical Talents" following the results of the All-Russian competition "Golden Names of Higher School" 2020. Winner status is the recognition of a candidate's achievements by the professional community.
Since September 15th, Associate Professor Cherkashina is officially a member of the Interregional Public Organization "League of Higher School Teachers".
The main direction of Natalia Igorevna's scientific activity is the development of new types of radiation-protective and temperature-regulating polymer composites for space technology. The creation of polymer radiation-protective screens, which are resistant to the negative factors of outer space, will make it possible to use even ordinary industrial microcircuits, the cost of which is several times less than special "space" electronics. The developed materials will ensure the reliability of the operation of space systems, and will also be able to increase their active lifetime in orbit up to two times.
In addition, N. Cherkashina is the head of the grant "Development of scientific foundations for the creation of multilayer radiation-protective thermo-regulating coatings based on polyimide track (nuclear) membranes" and the key performer of the grant on the topic: Applications in Outer Space ”(supervisor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof., Honored Inventor of the Russian Federation, VI Pavlenko), within the framework of which research is being carried out to create new types of radiation-protective and temperature-regulating coatings for space technology.
Let us remind you that Natalia Cherkashina also became a finalist of the regional competition “MyYour Our Pride” in the nomination “Science and Innovation”.
