Online lectures by Dr. Maysam Abbod
On the 1st of June, lecturers and young scientists from the flagship university were given the opportunity to participate in the online lecture “Artificial Intelligence: Concepts and Applications” by Dr. Maysam Abbod.
The organization of the event was supported by the Department of Electric Power and Automation - Head of the Department of Informatization and Communications Alexander Belousov. The moderator of the event is Yuri Koshlich, associate professor of the Department of Electric Power and Automation.
The lecture was held in a remote format based on the Zoom platform in English. The main issues related to artificial intelligence were considered:
artificial intelligence and machine learning,
history,
how a machine learns
supervised learning
uncontrolled training,
deep learning technology,
applications
what awaits us in the future.
Participants asked questions of interest to them, Dr. Maysam Abbod gladly answered them. The virtual meeting ended on an optimistic note - we agreed on cooperation and joint participation in projects and grants in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the field of energy and electronics.
Note: Dr. Mysam Abbod (Brunel University London) received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology in 1987. He received a PhD in automatic control technology from the University of Sheffield. He worked in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield as a Senior Researcher. Dr. Mysam Abbod currently works at Brunel University of London.
