The international scientific-practical conference of young scientists was held from May 25 to May 27, 2020 at the flagship university of the Belgorod region. The epidemiological situation in the country and the region did not allow a scientific conference to be held in the usual face-to-face format, therefore it was held online - in the Zoom cloud platform.
The conference was held in 20 scientific areas and brought together a large number of students, undergraduates and graduate students, including young scientists from the Far and Near Abroad - more than 1,500 applications from young scientists were received by the organizers of the conference. The main goal of the conference was to provide training for young scientific personnel, to exchange experience and knowledge between young scientists, as well as to expand scientific and cultural inter-university relations.
It can be said that the goals of the conference have been achieved based on the comments received by the participants. The graduate student of the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures, Uatic Said Jasim from Salah Eddin, expressed his admiration for the conference: “The conference was very impressive. I express my deep gratitude to the organizers of the conference for the rich and fruitful program of the conference, its high professional level and relevance of the topics proposed, as well as to all the speakers and teachers who very worthily represented their sections. ”
The Department of Construction and Urban Economics and the Department of Building Materials, Products and Designs were distinguished by the high level of organization and preparation of the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists. And the section “Effective constructions, materials and organizational and technological solutions for construction and housing and communal services” became the most numerous. However, it should be noted that all the scientific reports of young scientists aroused great interest of the jury, which included faculty members, students, undergraduates and young scientists.
“I’m sure that this conference brought a lot of new useful ideas and will give an impetus to the development of new projects of young scientists of our university,” said the head of the department for the training of highly qualified personnel at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov- Julia Fomenko.
Following the conference, the best speakers were awarded with diplomas.
