The meeting of the Academic Council of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
On Wednesday, May 27, the regular meeting of the Academic Council of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was hwld at BSTU. On the agenda were questions about the approval of regulatory documents governing admission in 2020, about the results of the university’s international activities and tasks for the reception company in 2021, about competitive matters and much more.
At the beginning of the meeting, the first vice-rector of the flagship university Evtushenko Evgeny Ivanovich made a report on the procedure for electing the Academic Council. It was unanimously decided to extend the powers of the members of the scientific council until the restrictions on mass events in the region were lifted. Next, the election of the president of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, he became the current president of the university, Anatoly Mitrofanovich Gridchin, his term was extended by 5 years.
"During the 2019-2020 academic year at the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is actively developing international cooperation. At the end of the meeting of the Academic Council, a report on the results of the written stories contest about the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 among students, faculty, university staff and their families, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory, on May 9, Vice-Rector for Security Borisovsky Vladimir Ivanovich.
“Such events are very important for modern society, with the help of such contests conditions are created to support and develop the creative potential of students and university employees in the field of patriotic education,” said prof. Sergey Glagolev.
