The results of the annual sports competition among the teams of the institutes of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
During the academic year, the 46th university sports contest among institutes was held at the Belgorod State Technological University named after Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov. It was assumed that students will test themselves in 16 sports, but due to the massive spread of COVID-19 infection, summer sports could not be held. In total, the institutes held competitions in 11 sports, and according to their results, the department of physical education and sports was able to summarize the university’s sports day.
The first place and the coveted gold was won by the team of the Civil Engineering Institute under the sports supervision of Oleg Manin. ISI scored 71 points, which allowed to break away from opponents. For five years now, the team has been at the forefront and this time has shown good results.
Silver and second place went to the team of the Institute of Technological Equipment and Engineering, sports curator Igor Kulikov. The ITEE team scored 54 points and went ahead, ahead of the bronze champion - Transport and Technology Institute (sports curator - Alesander Sheplekov), TTI lost only one point to the “mechanics” and scored 53 cherished points.
The team of the Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and Control Systems, which has shown itself well in a number of sports, is not much behind the winners. The fifth place went to the Institute of Chemical Technology, having performed excellently in women's volleyball and futsal. Sixth place is the Institute of Economics and Management, which won women's basketball. Seventh place is the Architectural Institute, the smallest institute to date, but with good results in some sports, for example, the AI team won third prize in women's volleyball.
