A pandemic is not an obstacle to planting trees in memory of those died in World War II
Fruit trees were planted at the flagship university of the region, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, tree planting was limited in terms of attracting participants. The event was attended by students, staff and administration of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, led by the rector of the university Sergey Glagolev.
Planting trees on the territory of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov has already become a tradition. The university already has thematic alleys. This is an alley of friendship of peoples, where chestnuts and mountain ash grow, an alley of builders, an alley of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and today an alley in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War appeared.
When the university opened, over a hundred combatants worked in it. More than ten years ago, an alley was planted - a hundred birches in memory of each hero. Today it is already a beautiful grove
.
The architectural and park complex of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is truly considered the pride of our university. Indeed, one of the main tasks of the university is to make it beautiful here at any time of the year, and in every corner of it.
The initiators of the action are the martial arts club Belogor.
