The delegation of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited the flagship university
Representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences came to the region at a workshop on the creation of the REC “Innovative Solutions in the Agro-Industrial Complex”. The guests got acquainted with the infrastructure of universities and enterprises involved in the scientific and educational center.
The delegation was led by Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Donnik. Other agricultural experts came along with her: doctor of agricultural sciences, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ekaterina Zhuravleva, director of the Federal State Budget Scientific Institution VNATs VIM, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Izmailov, deputy director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution All-Union Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization VIM, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yakov Lobachevsky.
The REC will include the largest Belgorod universities and industrial partners. Representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited the Biryuch-NT Innovation Center at EFKO and the Premix Plant No. 1.
A tour of the laboratories for the delegation was held at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Here, the rector of the university Sergey Glagolev and the first vice-rector Yevgeny Yevtushenko spoke about the activities of the university. They demonstrated modern laboratories: X-ray spectral studies, photocalysis and biodiagnostics, mechatronics and robotics, computer-aided design systems and PLM technologies, and others.
The workshop was held in the Shebekinsky city district on the basis of one of the REC industrial partners - Premix Plant No. 1. The meeting was held by the Governor of the region Yevgeny Savchenko.
Specific university projects were presented here. Those developments that will form the basis for the development of agricultural science will strengthen food security and independence of the country, increase the level of well-being and quality of life of citizens of Russia and the Belgorod region.
Among them is the creation on an industrial scale of the production of monolithic ceramic fuel cells. They are the main component of highly efficient installations for generating electricity and heat. Another project is the large-scale production of environmentally friendly animal protein from biological material of insects for the aquatic and agricultural industries. There are no analogues in technology in Russia. Another area is the creation and launch of an industrial complex for the deep processing of vegetable oils based on innovative technology of controlled organic synthesis.
Innovative solutions for the REC were also presented by other participants in the workshop.
As a result of the meeting, it was proposed to create another platform - ecology and waste recycling: household and agro-industrial complex. It will be created taking into account the experience of Belgorod universities and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. It is important that the research centers of the Urals and St. Petersburg will be attracted to cooperation.
Recall that in the framework of the national project "Science" by 2021 in Russia will create 15 world-class scientific and educational centers. The goal is to unite universities, scientific organizations and large companies taking into account the geographical factor and in accordance with the competitive advantages of universities.
Belgorod REC “Innovative solutions in the agro-industrial complex” will unite “Technologist”, NRU “BelSU”, Belgorod State Agrarian University named after V.Ya. Gorin and the structure of the RAS. The center is supervised by the governor of the region Yevgeny Savchenko.
