Meeting Friends
Meetings each other on Sundays is becoming traditional for our international students. Informal environment contributes to sharing urgent problems, discussing plans, talking about the experience in studies in life away from home.
Last Sunday’s meeting was initiated by the citizens of Angola, under the support of BSTU International Students Union. The number of students from Angola is rapidly increasing. A group of 12 young gentlemen and ladies joined our international community in February. All of them came to take courses at the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens and now the number of students from the Republic of Angola increased to 40.
February’s cold could not interfere warm communication between the newly admitted students and more experienced young people from different countries. They shared their first impressions: in spite of the weather conditions to which they are not used, they liked Belgorod and the campus. In their opinion, they found all conditions for training in a specialty, already chosen in their home country: mechanical equipment, construction, information technology. According to them, the professions will contribute to the development of their country.
New students extended thanks to the staff of the preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens and the elder students fully supported them: this period of training provides foundation for further knowledge, help to establish friendship, develops talents.
Senior students wished the young people diligence and successful studies at the preparatory course.
