Foreign students have taken the first step in science
Students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens of the flagship university took part in the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Youth and Scientific and Technological Progress", which was held on the basis of the Gubkinsky branch of the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
More than 600 reports from 23 Russian and 18 foreign universities were presented in five volumes of a collection of conference materials, which were presented to the authors at the end of the event.
The speeches of the reporters of the high school aroused genuine interest. The students of the preparatory department Pedro Vicente Sanchez Calera and Christian Epifano Cardenes presented a report on the “Problems of the Russian mentality assimilation by foreign students”, and Sheikh Saliu Tine - the report “Problems of teaching foreign students in Russia”. Conference participants successfully answered questions and were awarded diplomas. Graduate of the preparatory department for foreign citizens Mohammad Abdul Baset touched upon the current topic of occupational safety and health, as a system of measures to prevent industrial injuries. For his research, Mohammad was awarded a diploma of degree I.
Scientific supervisor of young scientists, associate professor of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Ludmila Brykova, helped the children to conduct research, draw conclusions and prepare reports and presentations.
