A school of public speaking opened at the university
On February 14, the opening of the school of oratorical skills for volunteers of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The director of the Center for Cultural and Educational Work of the BSTU named after V. G. Shukhova Natalya Mityakina.
The main goal of the project is to increase the literacy level of public speaking and to attract the interest of young people to the history of the university and local history.
At the initial stage, the work of the School of Guides will consist of several classes aimed at acquiring and developing the skills of public speaking, popularizing the excursion direction among the student contingent, increasing the popularity of the university for applicants and guests.
Knowledge and skills acquired in the process of mastering the program will help learn how to organize projects in educational activities, as well as develop communication skills.
The meeting's tutor was Lesja Shkreba - the founder of the residence of the Russian language. At the first lesson of the practical course “Effective Communication”, the types of speeches, the structure of the classic performance, the channels of perception, sabotage during a public appearance were considered. The lesson was held in the format of live communication. All students successfully coped with the development of certain skills.
