Three university scientists became laureates of the Shukhov Prize
Governor of the Belgorod Region Yevgeny Savchenko and Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Belgorod Region, President of BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov Professor Anatoly Gridchin awarded the Vladimir Shukhov Prize.
The solemn ceremony was held on the Day of Russian Science, on February 8, at the Belgorod State Philharmonic. The event was attended by university rector Sergey Glagolev, representatives of the university management.
The laureates in the nomination “Innovations in the field of information technologies” were associate professors of the Department of Electric Power Industry and Automatics at BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov Yuri Koshlich and Associate Professor of Technical Cybernetics Department, BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov Dmitry Yudin.
The laureate diploma in the nomination “Innovations in the field of intellectual production technologies, robotic systems in construction” was awarded to the head of the department of materials science, products and designs of BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov, doctor of technical sciences, professor Valery Lesovik.
Only nine Belgorod scientists representing universities and enterprises were awarded the Vladimir Shukhov Prize.
The laureates were congratulated by the governor of the Belgorod region Yevgeny Savchenko.
Our universities are becoming city-forming" enterprises "of the Belgorod region. So, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, one of 33 basic universities of the country, last year received the status of a federal innovation platform for training personnel for the digital economy. “Technologist” is one of the leaders in Russia in terms of the number of small innovative enterprises, ”said the head of the region at a solemn ceremony.
The attributes of the award - diplomas and memorable stella - were brought to the hall by students of BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov, excellent students. The student palace of culture of the university assisted in organizing speeches at the ceremony.
The award named after the great inventor, engineer, our countryman Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov was established in 2017. The awards are awarded to Belgorod scientists and innovators for their significant contribution to the development of the scientific, technical and industrial potential of the region.
