The performance of Playing Dolls at the university opened the Year of Theater in Russia
In the exhibition complex of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov opened the exhibition "Playing Dolls." This is a joint project organized by the University’s museum and exhibition complex and the Belgorod State Regional Puppet Theater. The first visitors to the exhibition were the staff and students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, as well as students of gymnasium No. 10 and Shukhov Lyceum No. 38.
The exhibition consists of various dolls: parsley, growth, cane, tablet, as well as unique types of puppets made by artists of the theater workshop.
At the opening ceremony, the guests were shown the play “The Hare, The Fox and The Rooster”, written based on the eponymous Russian folk tale. During the performance, all the spectators were able to plunge into the magical world of good and miracles. After the presentation, the Honored Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Semejchenko held a master class for students in managing and working with dolls.
According to the chief director of the theater Vladimir Gusarov, the exhibition will allow students to be interested in and look at the elements of the theater not only from the creative side, but also from the mechanical side. “The viewer will get acquainted with various systems of dolls, so to speak,“ from the inside ”and, maybe, soon, one of the Shukhovs will want to use their engineering skills and become an artist-designer in the puppet theater,” noted Vladimir Gusarov.
The exhibition will delight Belgorod residents a month from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 (r. 103 MB1).
