85 of the best school chemists in the region tested their knowledge at the university
While students take exams in the studied disciplines in the semester, schoolchildren test their knowledge on the regional round of the All-Russian Chemistry Olympiad in the 2018/2019 academic year.
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov has become a platform for holding an Olympiad in this area, so the experts are mostly teachers of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry.
85 pupils of 9-11 grades became participants of the Olympiad. School children were tested in two stages. According to experts, the tasks in the theoretical round were quite complicated, but the experimental tour was more accessible. Accordingly, the schoolchildren coped with the practical part better than with the theoretical one.
“For the university, holding such Olympiads on the basis of specialized departments is an opportunity to look at potential applicants, to determine the level of training of schoolchildren. The winners were determined rather quickly, and the one who passed the threshold ball could represent the Belgorod region at the final stage of the Olympiad, ”said the organizers, members of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry at the support university.
