Technologist specialists trained 186 computer literacy pensioners
At the support university, computer literacy courses for non-working pensioners of the city of Belgorod have completed. Difficult and responsible task completed with success. 186 people learned to use a personal computer, communicate with family and friends through the Skype program, work with file managers and text editors.
Trainees at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov’s retirees were greeted by Professor Valery Lesovik, Director of the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training (IPPKS) of the university, and Lidia Belaya, Chairman of the regional office of the Union of Pensioners of Russia, who stressed the importance of implementing and promoting this project.
"Teachers and graduate students of BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov pay special attention to the listeners of this category. The curriculum provides training in groups for beginners and confident computer users. The skills acquired as a result of training allow pensioners to receive various social services without leaving their homes. In the process of training, special attention is paid to receiving services in electronic form: they explain to pensioners how to sign up for a doctor or pay utility bills through the Internet, connect the personal account of the pension fund and register on the Gosuslugi portal, the course organizers said.
Recall that the Institute of retraining and advanced training of specialists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov won a tender for the provision of computer literacy training services for non-working pensioners.
For reference: the Government of the Russian Federation pays great attention to non-working pensioners. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved a new direction for social programs co-financed by the Pension Fund of Russia - training non-working computer literacy retirees. The goal of the project is to ensure the availability of state information resources and electronic public services.
