Shukhov team took part in the events of the International Volunteer Forum
The All-Russian congress of the leaders of volunteer associations ended in Moscow - the final event of the International Volunteer Forum, which summed up the results of the Year of Volunteer in Russia.
Belgorod region was represented by a delegation of 29 people, which included representatives of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov- Deputy Director of the Center for Cultural and Educational Work, Mikhail Spirin, and a 2nd-year student at the Architectural Institute, Yan Gozhenko.
During the forum, the participants met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko, Deputy Executive Coordinator of UN Volunteers Toyli Kurbanov, Secretary of the World Association for Volunteer Efforts Sam Johnson and many others.
During the three-day educational session, participants were able to discuss the problems and achievements of voluntary associations and share the experience gained in their regions.
The forum ended with a grand concert, which gathered more than 15 thousand volunteers. For several hours for the best volunteers, Russian pop stars performed. The results of the Year of the Volunteer were summarized by Russian President Vladimir Putin and presented the awards to the best. Vladimir Vladimirovich summarized that only the year devoted to volunteering is coming to the end, and the movement is only gaining its momentum.
Immediately after the completion of the main part of the forum, the All-Russian Congress of Heads of Volunteer Associations was held in Nalchik, in which the head of the BSTU Volunteer Center was attended Anastasia Logvinova. At the congress, internal issues related to associations were discussed.
