The university will double the number of students from Latin America in 2018
The flagship university – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is rapidly gaining popularity in the world and increases international competitiveness. The university plans to further develop the export potential of the Russian education system, doubling the number of foreign students by 2024. The growing number of representatives of the Latin American continent is implementing an international university strategy aimed not only at increasing the total number of foreign students, but also at expanding the geography of applicants. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the number of students from Latin America in recent years has been insufficient, although these are countries that are developing their economies fairly well and require qualified specialists. This academic year BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov actively declared itself in Latin America. Collaboration is steadily expanding: more than 40 students from Colombia and Ecuador have already arrived at the university.
Latin American citizens will study at BSTU in engineering and economic specializations. A significant role in the growing popularity of the university is played by positive feedback from students who have already graduated from the university.
