Rector presented the university at the Russian-Uzbek educational forum «New Personnel - for the New Economy» with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation
Rector of the flagship university, Professor Sergey Glagolev, took part in the Russian-Uzbek educational forum “New Personnel - for the New Economy”.
The professional dialogue platform, opened in Tashkent on October 18, was organized by the Russian Union of Rectors, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the administrations of the presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan in order to expand and institutionalize bilateral scientific and educational cooperation.
Among the speakers of the event are Vladimir Chernov, Head of the Presidential Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Victor Sadovnichy.
It should be recalled that BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov has longstanding ties with Uzbekistan. The university has many years of successful experience in training foreign citizens. Today 40 people from Uzbekistan study at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Twelve of them arrived in 2018. Employees of Fergana Polytechnic Institute regularly undergo internships within the framework of a cooperation agreement which is in force since 2014.
