Student from Switzerland chose BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov for an internship in Russia
Department of Real Estate Assessment and Management of the flagship university – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, together with the International Association for the Exchange of Students and Young Scientists IAESTE, continues to implement international academic exchange programs with leading universities in the European Union.
Within the framework of cooperation, a student of University of Basel, Karla Lutz, was given the opportunity to complete a short-term research and production internship at the construction engineering institute. The student chose an internship at BSTU as the most priority and more relevant to the future field of study and work.
For two months, Karla participates in research projects and cultural events that allow learning Russian culture and get acquainted with the traditions of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
Field trips to enterprises of the Belgorod region, as well as work in the laboratories of the university were organized to study the Russian experience in the treatment of drinking water and wastewater.
For reference: University of Basel (Universität Basel) - the oldest university in Switzerland. The academic ranking of universities in the world in 2011 placed Basel University in 86th position.
