Council for the cultural and educational work was held at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
Issues of development and fostering of patriotism among BSTU students were discussed on the agenda. Natalya Mityakina, Director of Cultural and Educational Work, made a report on the establishment of the Center for Patriotic Education in BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov within the framework of the State Program "Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation for 2016-2020".
Vice-Rector for Security Vladimir Borisovsky touched on an important issue. In his opinion, it is necessary to pay attention to the main directions of preventive work to ensure security and countering extremism, corruption, drug addiction and other offenses in the student community.
An important role in the formation of patriotic education is sport. Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sergey Kramskoy spoke about new forms of sports and patriotic events with the participation of students, lecturers and university staff.
Elena Voskresenskaya, Chairperson of the Student Board, proposed to implement the system of reward for active students and student associations.
