Experts told about the drugs awareness to freshmen
The preventive meeting "The Truth about Drugs" with first-year students of Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and control systems who stay in the dormitory, was held at the flagship university.
The vice-rector for security, Vladimir Borisovskiy, told the freshmen that the university has 4 documents regulating the schedule: a collective agreement, a university charter, internal regulations and a code of honor. Vladimir Ivanovich reminded students that the failure to comply with the rules of these documents is punishable by disciplinary responsibility, up to expulsion from the university.
The students were impressed by the video “Territory of Security”, where the story about a person’s drug addiction was conducted on behalf of his pet - a dog. Experiences which were outlined in the story of the pet, forced to look at this issue from outside and to assess the possible consequences of even one wrong step.
Olga Rikker, a social worker at the regional narcological dispensary, gave a lecture to first-year students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Olga Vasilievna urged those who gathered to develop good habits.
Oleg Verveyko, the head of the student housing complex “Technolog” recalled the rules for living in a dormitory.
