Discussing the development of Smart cities
On the 5th of September, the Second Belgorod Forum of Information Technologies "BIF-2018" was held. Flagship University of the region – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov - became one of the main educational sites, where the founders of IT companies, managers and project managers, IT specialists, small and medium-sized business owners, Internet marketing specialists, freelancers, students gathered to discuss the prospects for the development of the IT industry , modern trends in the field of digital solutions. Within the framework of one of the sections of the forum "SMART CITY Day 2018" the issue of introducing modern technologies in the innovative development of "smart cities" was considered. Guests were invited to choose for themselves the direction of interest from the three sections.
The opening of the forum began with a round table on "Smart City. Digital transformation ": IT-technologies and solutions in medicine and culture, transport in a smart city. With a salutatory word to the participants of the event, the rector of BSTU named after. V.G. Shukhov, Professor S. Glagolev.
The participants of the section "IT technologies and solutions in medicine" discussed the development of innovative solutions of the state and business that can form the basis of the country's scientific and technological breakthrough in the field of digitalization of health care and their introduction into the practical field.
In the section "Digital Transformation in Culture", participants exchanged experience on one of the most advanced projects in the sphere of culture of the cities of the future - the "Cultural Region", which is intended to promote the internal cultural and tourist product through IT technologies.
One of the most intimate topics for the university was "Transport in a smart city," where representatives of government, state companies, and businessmen discussed the prospects for the development of transport infrastructure in the digital economy. The active participant of the section was the deputy governor - the head of the construction and transport department Evgeny Glagolev.
The theme of the "smart city" was extensive and embraced virtually all aspects of human life.
