The beginning of a new academic year celebrated at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
A solemn line dedicated to the Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year was held on 3rd of September at the university square of the flagship university of BSTU named after. V.G. Shukhov.
Rector of the university professor Sergey Glagolev congratulated the first-year students on entering one of the best technical universities in Russia. He wished young people to be inquisitive, impudent and ambitious.
Representatives of the university's administration, directors of institutes, and heads of the structural divisions visited this event.
Vice-rector for Security Vladimir Borisovsky congratulated freshmen with the beginning of the academic year and the Knowledge Day. He wished the students to master the sciences professionally and competently, learn how to be sympathetic and help each other.
The chairman of the united students’ council of the flagship university Elena Voskresenskaya addressed the words of farewell to the first-year students. All new students were invited to get acquainted with the interactive platforms of scientific, sports, youth and creative associations of the university, which are traditionally located on the university square.
Immediately after the ceremonial line, a rally was held. It dedicated to the International Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, which is celebrated annually on September 3.
