Boxers from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov won the gold medals in 3 weight categories
An international boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of the Russian master of sports Denis Chmykin was held at the flagship university of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

Shukhova Sergey Glagolev, the president of the university Anatoly Gridchin, the head of the Boxing Federation of the Belgorod region Shamil Kurbanov, the head of the university headquarters for the tournament Georgy Golikov, the master of sports of the USSR Vyacheslav Lushnikov, the master of sports of the USSR Vladimir Besedin, the director of the sports school of the Olympic reserve Belgorod Sergey Kabatov, the master Sports of the USSR Vladimir Simonov, Master of Sports of the USSR Nikolay Zolotukhin, First Master of Sports of the USSR Alexander Lutenko were the honorary guests of the closing ceremony, which took place at the university's sports complex on August 10.
Young sportsmen from 15 regions of Russia took part in the competition. The fights took place for 4 days in different weight and age categories: young men of 2002-2003 of birth, juniors of 2000-2001 of birth and men of 1999-1976 of birth.
three BSTU students especially distinguished themselves. They became winners in their nominations:
Daniyal Medzhidov - I place in the weight category up to 60 kg, juniors 2000-2001 of a birth;
Khadzhimurad Mikailov - I place in the weight category up to 69 kg, male 1999-1976;
Shamil Mikailov - I place in the weight category up to 75 kg, male 1999-1976 of birth. Shamil also received a special prize of the tournament - for "Best technical and tactical training".
Sergey Nikolaevich congratulated athletes, parents, judges, coaches, fans with the completion of the tournament.
