BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov celebrated the day of the city of Belgorod
Celebrations dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet army in the Battle of Kursk, as well as the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Belgorod from the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War were held in the regional center.
Representatives of the student unions, trade union committee, heads of the structural units of the flagship university headed by the rector professor Sergey Glagolev took part in the traditional citywide action "The Memory Lane".
BSTU representatives laid a wreath and flowers to the memorial "The Sorrowful Mother" on Sobornaya Square in the regional center, honored the memory of the fallen soldiers in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
The rector of the university, as chairman of the Belgorod City Council, also took part in the solemn meeting, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgorod from the Nazi invaders. Veterans, cadets, servicemen, townspeople and attended the Sobornaya Square.
