Lecturers of the university undertook an internship in France
Head of the International Relations Development Department of the Center for International Education and Cooperation, lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Natural Sciences Sabina Velieva, Deputy Head of the International Relations Development Department, Lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Natural Sciences Svetlana Lesovaya, Associate Professor of Material Science and Materials Technology Julia Ogurtsova visited the Ecole des Mines d'Ales (Ales, France).
Within the framework of the Erasmus + grant, awarded by the French government and financed by the European Union, won by the BSTU staff, they underwent an internship at the international department and at the research center of the Ecole des Mines d'Ales. It should be noted that the flagship university of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov is a partner of the Ecole des Mines d'Ales and a participant in the Erasmus program, which is engaged in the exchange of students and staff in universities in the European Union.
Representatives of BSTU visited research laboratories, the newest library and the newly opened research center at the Ecole des Mines d'Ales, got acquainted with the leading scientists and management of the university, visited students' practice classes, and also took master classes for university staff.
A number of activities were carried out to prepare a program of double diplomas with our university, discussed further aspects of cooperation with the head of international service and academic mobility Serge Bastide and coordinator of the European program Erasmus +, Françoise Andre.
The parties agreed that Professor of the Ecole des Mines d'Ales Gwenn Le Saout will visit BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov in the near future. It is also planned to conduct a scientific internship of French students under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Materials Technology Julia Ogurtsova at the flagship university.
Since January 2019, within the framework of the program of academic mobility, students from the Ecole des Mines d'Ales are expected to arrive for one semester at BSTU.
