A meeting of the Academic Council took place at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
The meeting of the Academic Council of 2017-2018 academic year was held at the regional flagship university.
The meeting was opened with a traditional award: a medal for services to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov of the III degree was awarded to the vice-rector for academic work, assistant professor Vladimir Polyakov.
The agenda included a number of important issues concerning the results of the university's activities in the current academic year. According to the results of the spring semester of 2017-2018 academic year, it was revealed that absolutely all students who received admission to the defence of qualification works successfully coped with this task. About 23% of graduates will receive diplomas with distinction. The Institute of Magistracy became the leader among the institutes for this indicator - 73% of graduates will receive degree with honors.
The issue of recommendation to personal scholarships was considered. The directors of the institutes made a candidates list, which was subsequently unanimously approved by the members of the Academic Council.
