PhD students defense with major in «Construction materials and structures» was held at the university
Defense of scientific and qualification works of PhD students in specialization 08.06.01 «Engineering and technology of construction» (the level of training of highly qualified personnel), the major «Construction materials and structures» was held at the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures, for the first time in the history of the flagship university.
The industry for the production of building materials for various purposes is actively developing in the Belgorod region. Carrying out appropriate research and development work for the introduction of new materials made of local raw materials is necessary.
The work of PhD student Dmitry Popov «Increasing the effectiveness of textile-concrete due to the management of structure formation» (supervisor - Dr. V.S. Lesovik) aroused great interest. The post-graduate student successfully passed the predefense of his thesis at Penza State Technological University, his work was accepted for defense.
The topical problem is solved in the work of post-graduate student V.V. Voronov - «Composite binders and foam concrete on their basis» (supervisor - Deputy Governor of the region - Head of the Department of Construction and Transport, Candidate of Technical Sciences E. Glagolev).
The majority of PhD students received recommendations for further defense of their works for obtaining the degree of candidate of technical sciences.
Reference: A building boom is expected in Russia in the coming years. The range of manufactured building materials will change by 80-85% in the world top countries in the next 20 years. Leading scientists of the world are working on materials that provide a comfortable living environment and, as a result, preserve human health. This is the direction that is leading at the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures.
In 2014, by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, postgraduate studies became the third level of higher professional education. Within the framework of the former format of postgraduate study, more than 30 doctors of science and about 100 candidates of sciences were trained at the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures. In this regard, this Department became the base for the PhD training in specialization 08.06.01 «Engineering and technology of construction».
