The flagship university will cooperate with Lodz University of Technology
The delegation of administration and scientists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov visited Lodz University of Technology (Poland). During the working visit the representatives of the flagship university presented the university to their Polish counterparts, held a number of meetings with the management and scientists of the Lodz university. The parties discussed the student academic exchange, implementation of joint educational programs.
Directions of joint scientific research and use of the laboratory database of remote access to equipment. These issues were discussed by the head of the department of scientific research works of BSTU. V.G. Andrey Naumov with Polish colleagues.
«The Polish colleagues showed considerable interest in our university and the scientific school of BSTU. As a result of the talks, the Polish side expressed its intention to conclude an agreement on cooperation between our universities», said Prof. Sergey Mikhailichenko, vice-rector for continuing education.

Lodz University of Technology (LUT) was founded in 1945. More than 22 thousand students undertake their courses at this university. Education is conducted in 38 field of studies.
LUT is the first university in Poland to receive the ECTS Label Quality Certificate from the European Commission. More than 1,300 LUT students graduated their courses in foreign language. LUT is the only university in Poland with such a wide range of programs in foreign languages offered at the International Engineering Faculty. In addition, selected subjects from the training program are conducted in English at all faculties.
Every year several hundred students go abroad to study. Such an intensive students exchange was recognized by the National Agency of the Erasmus Program, which awarded LUT with the title «The university with favorable mobility».
