A young scientist from Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov took part in the International Forum «Lomonosov»
The International Youth Scientific Forum «Lomonosov» was held at the Moscow University. This year more than 12,000 students, graduates and young scientists gathered in Moscow to test the results of their first scientific research and communicate with like-minded people.
Traditionally, rector of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Academician Viktor Sadovnichy greeted the participants of the forum. In his opinion, over the past years, Lomonosov university has managed to become a real «congress of talented youth», more than 150,000 participants from 80 countries visited the Moscow University forum.
About 16 500 applications were sent to the forum this year, and more than 12 000 researchers were selected and invited to participate in 40 sections and 395 subsections.
A young scientist from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Svetlana Yashkina took part in the work of the subsection «Structural Materials» of the section «Fundamental Materials Science and Nanomaterials». Her work «Radiation-protective ceramic composites based on bismuth oxide» (academic adviser, professor Evgeny Evtushenko) took the second place.
The International Youth Scientific Forum «Lomonosov» has been held at Moscow State University since 2005, and the scientific conference bearing the same name was held for the 25th time in 2018.
