Scientists of the University have received well-deserved awards
A solemn ceremony of the laureates awarding of the regional contest «Engineer of the Year – 2017» and the winners of the «UMNIK» program of the assistance innovations fund was held.
The organizers of the event are the Belgorod Region Economic Development Department and the Belgorod Regional Resource Innovation Center.
The purpose of the «Engineer of the Year» contest is popularizing the achievements and experience of the best engineering workers, increasing the attractiveness of engineering activities, and forming an interest in work and technical creativity among the youth.
The regional contest «Engineer of the Year – 2017» was held in 10 nominations. Every nomination was represented by two categories: «Professional Engineers» and «Engineering Art for the Young people». 65 specialists from 24 regional enterprises, who achieved high results in their work or presented effective engineering developments, participated at this event.
The winners from BSTU are:
- Ivan Novikov - head of the department « Traffic operation and organization» in the nomination «Management organization of scientific, industrial and engineering activities», in the category «Professional engineers».
- Anna Trautvain - associate professor of the department «Automobile and railroads» became the winner in the nomination «Building, construction industry. Road construction», in the category «Engineering art of the young people».
Representatives of the Department of Economic Development, leading enterprises and universities of the Belgorod region took part in the awarding ceremony.
Also the winners of the «UMNIK» program of the assistance innovations fund were awarded at the solemn ceremony. This program is aimed at supporting commercially oriented scientific and technical projects of young researchers.
30 BSTU students reached the final. Six of them became winners: five graduate students and one MA student. These are Dmitry Temnikov, Evgeny Sheremet, Nikolay Zhukov, Maxim Panchenko, Vasily Stan and Andrey Glivuk.
Young scientists were awarded diplomas, souvenirs and the main prize - grants of 500 000 rubles.
