The leaders of student trade union committees became the guests of the university
A traditional meeting of the Student Coordination Council of the Central Federal District was held at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
The Student Coordination Council is the largest public organization uniting all students trade union committees. This year Belgorod became the host of the first working meeting of the organization.
The meeting was opened by the chairman of the Belgorod regional branch of the trade union of workers of public education and science of the Russian Federation Lydia Tomilka. Lydia Tifomeevna told the guests about Belgorod and the history of the development of the trade union movement in Belgorod. The opening ceremony was attended by the organizers - the chairman of the Student Coordination Council of the Russian Federation Viktor Shabelnik (Smolensk) and the chairman of the Student Coordination Council of the Central Federal District Roman Dashkevich (Oryol). The chairman of the united trade union committee Sergey Latyshev and the vice-rector for cultural, education and social work Irina Avilova. welcomed participants from BSTU side. «This environment united by union youth organizations promotes the development of ties, student mobility, friendly relations, charging youth and allowing to move forward», Irina Pavlovna noted.
31 participants from 15 regions of Russia took part in the event. The participants of the meeting spent two days of intensive work, where they discussed the most important and acute issues of student life of trade union organizations. Also the leaders of the trade union committees exchanged opinions, built a work plan for the coming calendar year, held a series of discussions.
An excursion tour with a visit to the museum, a high-tech center, and a trip around the city and regional key attractions was arranged for the guests.
